Spiro Pavlakis migrated to the United
States as a young man in search of
a better future for himself and his
family. He immediately began working
as a carpenter’s helper.
Spiro was eager to learn and gained
experience as a laborer, carpenter,
painter, taper and quickly learned
virtually every discipline under the
term general construction. Regardless
of the task, Spiro was driven to perform
it to the very best of his ability.
What set him apart from everyone is
that he persevered with a passion
for excellence. It was his passion
for excellence along with a winning
drive to succeed that has brought
him to where he is today – a
self-made successful businessman and
entrepreneur with a company whose
reputation is built on excellence!
As his business developed he hired
employees who shared in his personal
insights and professional work ethic
of becoming not necessarily the biggest,
but certainly one the best General
Contractor firms around. From small
public and private projects, Spiro
learned how to compete though the
bidding process for larger public
jobs and which enabled him to increase
the size and scope of Pav-Lak’s
projects and continual success.
For over two decades, Spiro Pavlakis’

him well. Today, it’s further
exemplified by what he terms his “greatest
success”, his son, who is now
Vice President of Pav-Lak and emulates
Sprio’s work ethic and philosophy
by going the extra mile to ensure
